Project I: Ozanköy Mosque Fieldwork
As part of a social responsibility project aimed at preserving and documenting historical structures, students from our school’s Architecture Department conducted research on the cultural heritage of the region while working at the Ozanköy Mosque. As part of the field study, the students examined the historical fabric of the village, created a survey of the Ozanköy Mosque, and researched the history of the building from written sources. The students compiled the information they gathered into a presentation, which can be used as a resource for future reference both within and outside the school. Expressing their happiness for contributing to the preservation and documentation of the historical fabric, our students had the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they learned in this fieldwork to practice. Additionally, stating that they developed awareness about cultural heritage, our students expressed their desire to continue such studies in the future.
