General Information
Turkish Language Teaching Program offers a curriculum based on contemporary teaching techniques in parallel with the increasing importance of Turkish language teaching at national and international level.
The language of instruction is Turkish and courses are supported by contemporary teaching methods, educational technologies and practical internship experiences.
Aim of the Department
The department aims to train community-oriented, innovative and contemporary teachers who are committed to Atatürk’s Principles and Revolutions.
Students will not only become competent in teaching Turkish, but will also be equipped with communication skills, critical thinking and pedagogical formation. Graduates of the Department of Turkish Language Teaching can work in public and private schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, Turkish schools abroad, Turkish language teaching centers for foreigners, private tutoring centers, press and media organizations, Turkology research centers and universities.
Graduate Profile
Graduates of Turkish Language Teaching can work as Turkish teachers in public and private schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. They also have the opportunity to work in publishing houses, media organizations, companies that develop educational materials and language training centers. They aim to teach students correct and effective Turkish by using language skills effectively.
