Business Administration Doctoral Program
General Information
The Ph.D. in Business Administration Program (English) at Cyprus Aydın University is a research-oriented, advanced doctoral program designed to educate scholars and high-level professionals who can contribute to theoretical and empirical research in management, economics, finance and related areas. The medium of instruction is English, and the program is fully aligned with ECTS workload principles and the Bologna Process.
The program targets candidates who wish to pursue academic careers in universities or research-intensive positions in public and private sector institutions. It provides a rigorous foundation in research methods, quantitative and qualitative analysis, philosophy of science and advanced disciplinary courses in business and economics.
Cyprus Aydın University operates under the oversight and recognition frameworks of relevant higher education authorities. The program is fully accredited by YÖDAK, and an application for YÖK recognition/authorization has been officially submitted and is currently in process. Program approvals, naming, and teaching language are subject to the procedures stated in the Graduate Regulation (e.g., Article 5).

Welcome to the Ph.D. in Business Administration Program at Cyprus Aydın University. In a global environment where economic, technological and social transformations accelerate continuously, there is a growing need for scholars and decision-makers who can produce original scientific knowledge and critically evaluate existing theories and policies. Our doctoral program is carefully structured to provide you with deep conceptual understanding, advanced methodological tools and a strong research culture.
From your first semester, you will be engaged in intensive coursework covering advanced business and management theory, research methods, quantitative techniques and the philosophy of science. These courses are designed not only to transfer knowledge but also to challenge you to question assumptions, refine research questions and design scientifically robust studies. As you progress to the seminar, specialization and dissertation stages, you will work closely with faculty members on research projects, conference presentations and publications.
We place particular emphasis on academic integrity, ethical research conduct and social responsibility. Our aim is to educate researchers who are internationally competent, methodologically rigorous and sensitive to the economic and social realities of their environment. Program Introduction

• Qualification level: Doctorate (Third Cycle, Ph.D. in Business Administration).
• Program type: Doctoral program with dissertation (Regulation provisions on Ph.D. programs and thesis).
• Standard ECTS workload: 30 ECTS per semester; total program workload: 240 ECTS as per curriculum file.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the Ph.D. in Business Administration Program is governed by the Graduate Regulation provisions on doctoral admissions. In general, applicants must:
• Hold a master’s degree (thesis or non-thesis, subject to conditions) from a relevant field, as defined by the Institute and Senate.
• Meet the minimum ALES (or equivalent) score requirements for doctoral programs (where applicable).
• Provide proof of English proficiency for programs taught in English (as per Articles related to language proficiency).
• Satisfy any additional criteria (interview, scientific evaluation, reference letters, etc.) set by the Institute/Senate.

• Recognized prior studies and course transfers are handled under the relevant provisions of the Graduate Regulation and Institute decisions.
• Student mobility and exchange activities are possible through bilateral agreements and programs; course recognition and ECTS transfer are subject to approval by the Institute.
