One of the most important aspects of college life is social life. Social life is particularly significant for incoming students. Socializing helps alleviate the stress of college life. Engaging with others on various topics and in different settings helps students build connections that may yield unexpected long-term benefits and expand their social circles beyond the classroom.
A purely academic perspective acts as a barrier to taking advantage of the opportunity to interact and socialize with people from different backgrounds and cultures—one of the most important gains of university life. Aware of this reality, our university supports social activities aimed at students’ personal and cultural development by fostering their diverse interests.
Throughout the year, our university organizes events such as technical tours, seminars, commemorative visits, training sessions, panels, talks, conferences, social responsibility projects, theater performances, exhibitions, sports competitions, and tournaments.
The university has basketball (men’s and women’s), volleyball (women’s and men’s), table tennis (women’s and men’s), soccer and futsal (men’s), and cricket (men’s) teams.
Girne is a tourist, historical, and cultural city that students choose to study in. It is home to many universities. Due to this, there are many dormitories and accommodation options available in various parts of the city.
The campus is located 1.7 km from the center of Girne and 30 km from the capital, LefkoÅŸa. Our campus is surrounded by olive trees and offers stunning views of the sea and mountains, and is within walking distance of social activity and shopping centers.
