General Information
The Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling aims to train professional psychological counselors by addressing the development of the individual with a holistic approach.
Within the scope of the four-year (240 ECTS) undergraduate program, an education model based on current theories, applied courses and ethical principles has been adopted.
In the program, it is compulsory to attend at least 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the applied courses. The language of education is Turkish.
Aim of the Department
The department aims to provide its students with the skills of multi-dimensional assessment of the individual, to develop effective communication and problem solving competencies and to train professional counselors who adhere to ethical rules.
Our graduates can provide education, counseling and individual development services in public and private schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, Guidance and Research Centers, public institutions, private counseling centers and various organizations.
Graduate Profile
Graduates of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling; They can work as psychological counselors in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, universities, guidance research centers and private educational institutions. They can also work in human resources, family counseling centers and psychological support centers in the private sector.
Graduates contribute to the formation of a healthy individual and society by supporting the personal, social and academic development of individuals.
