Who is Prof. Dr. Mustafa AYDIN?
Born in 1956, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Trabzon, his birthplace. He completed his undergraduate education at Cairo University and Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and Geography. He later completed his master’s and doctorate studies in linguistics. He started working in the Turkish Armed Forces in 1975 and served on many domestic and international assignments until his retirement in 1995.
Following his retirement, Prof. Dr. AYDIN started working as a faculty member at Istanbul University and simultaneously established the institutions within the BİL Holding he founded with his investments in the education sector, and he is still the chairman of the board of directors of these institutions.
He continues to provide education services in approximately 150 schools from kindergarten to high school seniors on approximately 40 BİL College campuses within the scope of BİL Educational Institutions, which he established in 1995.
In 2003, he laid the foundations of Istanbul Aydın University, the largest foundation university in Turkey, with 16 faculties, 34 research centers, 40,000 students, 5,000 of whom are international, 2 think tanks, 2 UNESCO chairs, and over 100 very strong technological, informatics and laboratory infrastructures.
In the following years, he established the Cyprus Aydin University and International Aydın University in the TRNC, as well as the IAU Incubation Center in the Silicon Valley of the USA-San Francisco.
