“From Invisibility to Heroism: Women’s Labor” Event Held

As part of International Women’s Day on March 8, the event titled “From Invisibility to Heroism: Women’s Labor” focused on women’s contributions, the value they bring to society, and inspiring stories of success.

Speakers Sibel Tatar, Ayşe Kanlıada, Ayten Berkalp, and Rabia Özcömert addressed the crucial role of women’s efforts in the development of society, highlighting their work in many areas—from family life to professional careers, from education to social life. In their speeches, it was emphasized that women’s often invisible labor is in fact one of the strongest pillars sustaining the social structure.

The workshops held in the garden of Cyprus Aydın University were among the most vibrant parts of the event. During the workshops, women’s labor was explored through the themes of production, solidarity, and sharing. The works produced there reflected the spirit and message of the event.
