Dear students and other stakeholders,
The Center for Agricultural Application, Research, and Project Development at Cyprus Aydın University carries out support and policy-making activities in the fields of agricultural sustainability, farmer capacity building, and EU-compliant project development. Our Center conducts application-oriented research, provides information services, and implements international projects to strengthen the agricultural sector in Northern Cyprus.
Our goal as the Center is to elevate Northern Cyprus’s agricultural potential to global standards and enhance the competitiveness of our farmers by informing the Turkish Cypriot community about global developments and sharing domestic advancements with the wider world. We aim to transform the experiences gained from past projects into new research and applications. Let’s build a more participatory and sustainable agricultural future together!
About Us
The Center for Agricultural Application, Research, and Project Development is the unit at Cyprus Aydın University responsible for practical applications, research, and project development in the fields of agriculture and rural development. The Center was established to enhance the capacity of farmers in Northern Cyprus, facilitate their access to international funding, and prepare policy documents based on feedback from them.
In line with the support provided through European Union-funded projects, the Center offers agricultural consulting, training, project preparation, and monitoring/evaluation services. It operates with a multidisciplinary approach, utilizing on-campus demonstration fields and laboratory facilities.
Mission
Our center’s mission is to provide policy recommendations to support the economic development of the agricultural sector in Northern Cyprus and to facilitate access to EU grant funds.
Vision
Our center’s vision is to establish a productive, innovative, and EU-compliant agricultural ecosystem in Northern Cyprus; to lead the way in sustainable rural development by empowering farmers, rural communities, and young researchers.
