The Mechatronics Engineering programme is a multidisciplinary field of engineering that combines the disciplines of mechanical, electrical and electronic, and computer engineering. In this programme, students receive training in areas such as robotic systems, automation, control systems, artificial intelligence applications and smart manufacturing technologies.

Mechatronics engineers work as professionals who design, develop and manage innovative systems in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, defence, robotics and automation. This department aims to train engineers who can integrate technology with different disciplines and possess strong problem-solving skills.

The Mechatronics Engineering Program at Cyprus Aydin University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, is an interdisciplinary program that integrates mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, control systems, and computer engineering. The Mechatronics Engineering Program is a Bachelor’s Degree Program (B.Sc.) offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Cyprus Aydin University. The program is designed in full compliance with the Bologna Process and is structured to meet international higher education standards.
The program meets the requirements of both the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) and the level descriptors of first-cycle degree qualifications of the Overarching Framework for Qualifications of the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA). In addition, it fulfills the Level 6 qualification requirements of the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TYYÇ, NQF-HETR).
Furthermore, the program’s level descriptors also meet the Level 6 requirements of the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL), ensuring academic comparability, international recognition, and graduate mobility.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate from the Mechatronics Engineering Program, students must successfully complete all courses designated within the curriculum with passing grades, amounting to a total of 240 ECTS credits. Students are also required to fulfill all laboratory work, internship obligations, and graduation project requirements as specified in the program structure.
In addition, students must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, in accordance with the academic regulations of Cyprus Aydin University.
Upon successful fulfillment of all graduation requirements, students are awarded the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechatronics Engineering degree.

Mechatronics Laboratory,

The Mechatronics Laboratory provides a well-equipped educational environment designed to develop students’ interdisciplinary engineering skills by integrating the disciplines of mechanics, electronics and software through a holistic approach. The laboratory facilitates practical work on sensor and actuator applications, robotic systems, microcontroller programming, automation systems and control techniques.

Students transform their theoretical knowledge into practice by working with various experiment kits, robotic arms, PLC systems and embedded system platforms; thereby developing their system design, integration and problem-solving skills. The aim is to train competent, innovative and highly skilled engineering candidates in the field of industrial automation and smart systems.

Physics and Chemistry Laboratory,

The Physics and Chemistry Laboratory provides a comprehensive educational environment where students can reinforce their theoretical knowledge of the basic sciences through practical work. In the laboratory, experiments are conducted in the field of physics covering mechanics, electricity, optics and waves, whilst in the field of chemistry, practical work is carried out on solubility, titration, reaction kinetics and material analysis.
