Employers and Sectoral Stakeholders

Employers, who are among the key external stakeholders of the Department of International Relations, play a significant role in assessing graduate competencies, programme outcomes and employment-focused achievements. Feedback from employers is utilised to monitor graduates’ competencies in analytical thinking, diplomatic writing, policy analysis, foreign language proficiency and the ability to work in an international environment.
Employer feedback is gathered through interviews, joint events and career-focused interactions with public institutions, international organisations, think tanks, private sector representatives and civil society organisations. This feedback contributes to updating course content and strengthening the programme’s connection to professional practice.
Furthermore, within the scope of collaborations with employers, seminars, talks, career days and practice-oriented events are organised to support students’ preparation for national and international work environments.

The Department of International Relations operates in close collaboration with sectoral stakeholders, including public institutions, international organisations, diplomatic missions, think tanks, non-governmental organisations and representatives of the private sector. These stakeholders contribute to ensuring that the programme remains aligned with current global developments, foreign policy dynamics and transformations within the international system.
Through workshops, consultation meetings, collaborations and joint events organised with sectoral stakeholders, expectations in the international arena are monitored and integrated into programme development processes. These interactions aim to enable students to establish early contact with the field, gain professional awareness and clarify their career goals.
All feedback received from sectoral stakeholders is evaluated within the university’s quality assurance system and contributes to the continuous improvement of the International Relations Programme.
