The increasing healthcare needs of individuals and societies, together with rapidly advancing technology, have made it necessary for both the public and private sectors to provide more healthcare services and employ a greater number of healthcare professionals. As a result, the healthcare sector has become an indispensable part of the economic system.

Since its establishment, the Department of Nursing at Cyprus Aydın University has consistently carried out its educational activities with the aim of educating the nurses needed by the healthcare sector, in line with the university’s mission of being responsive to the changing and developing needs of society. At the same time, by training nurses who take active roles in patient recovery and service development processes and who are responsible for various areas ranging from caregiving and consultancy to healthcare management and participation in treatment processes, we make a significant contribution to public health.

Through the nursing education we provide, our students are prepared not only for their profession but also for their personal lives through the educational philosophy of our university. In this regard, the Department of Nursing educates contemporary and qualified individuals who are committed to the principles and reforms of Atatürk; sensitive to individual and public health at national and international levels; capable of identifying problems and producing rapid solutions; committed to ethical principles; able to make accurate decisions and take responsibility in critical situations; involved in national and international studies; sensitive to society and the environment; and respectful of human dignity and privacy.
